Glenn “Tulu” Waller II coaching in the studio

I've spent more than five years coaching women in their late thirties, forties, and fifties. That's the room I know — women who are strong, busy, and done being handed generic programs that were never written for their bodies or their stage of life.

Over time the practice narrowed on purpose. I now work specifically with women in perimenopause and postmenopause, because these are two distinct states, not one long stretch. In perimenopause, hormones fluctuate week to week, so recovery is variable and training has to flex with it. In postmenopause, the body has become less responsive to both training and protein — which calls for more stimulus and more protein per meal, not a lighter, gentler program. Lumping the two together is how women get under-trained for years.

Every group is capped at five women. Five is the number where I can still watch every rep, adjust a load on the spot, and know exactly where each person is that day. Bigger rooms turn into a class where the coach is a metronome. Smaller rooms let the coaching stay individual even though everyone is training together.

Nobody gets loaded here until she gets screened. Session Zero is a full movement screen, menopause staging, and pelvic floor and bone health screening, and it's where your real starting loads come from. Assigning weight before I understand how you move is guesswork, and guesswork is how people get hurt or stall. Your loads, ranges, and regressions come from your screen — every single time.

I also know the edges of my lane. I don't manage hormone therapy; that belongs to your prescribing physician, and I'll happily work alongside whatever they've put you on. And if pelvic floor symptoms show up under load, we regress the load and I refer you to a pelvic floor PT — that's their expertise, not mine. Knowing what to refer out is part of doing this well.

What you'll get from me is straightforward: progressive strength training built from your screen, in a small room, measured with real numbers instead of vibes. Strength training supports bone density and body composition, and that support compounds when the loading is honest and the coaching pays attention.
